The emptiness was crushing.
Full-on dead, waterlogged
weight of gravital fortitude.
For weeks there was nothing.
Just open space flitted with
meaningless conversation.
Even the cackling
birds were shushed.
Each listening to their
own silent breathing...
content in their
muffled nothingness.
Then, as though the
heavens ripped, or
something cracked, and
the dead weight gave way
to smashing existance,
he realized he had to
have her.
