It wasn't exactly as she remembered.
She had walked away leaving all behind so many years ago. Time had shrunk her home Experience had made her grow. Now the entrance seemed too small...to narrow. It was a passage to another life, Another person, One she no longer wanted to know. The threshold a young girl once ran through in search of solace had broken down. Patchwork now from too much repair And in place of the bronze knob A rusty lock now hung.
