She's been my rock when I needed strength.

My spine,

My

 backbone

when I

needed courage.

She's been my mother and my best friend.

She's been my father when I didn't have one.

She's been my confidence when I've lacked esteem,

and my only bridge

when I've burned them all.

She's been my voice

when I could not speak,

and my crutch when I could not stand.

She was there for me when I was alone

and was my enemy when I had strayed.

She's been my mentor, whom I admire,

and in her face I see my image...
