We think it's that time again...let's spark some creative fires, shall we??
- Thanksgiving family gathering gone soap opera style. - A peeping Tom's thoughts on the new neighbors. - That one guy, who takes Christmas decorating a bit too far. - An extraordinary Christmas wish list found by unsuspecting eyes. Have fun, folks!!

Contest Time!! We are gearing up and planning our asses off for our Anniversary Celebration/Book Release/Spoken Word event, and we would like to have a bit of fun in the process. See this epic pic of Lea Anne? (Look below.) We want you to recreate it, featuring yourself, of course! Put your creatively weird, and odd thinking caps on and grab whatever book tickles your fancy! (Although we do like the odd and strange) We will pick the top two or three winners to receive a signed copy of our first published journal - Run Over By...an Omnibus. Sound fun?? Of course it does!! Make us cringe, or make us laugh, just post your epic pics to our Facebook page, or send to us on Twitter, or email to [email protected] and we will announce the winners by July 4th! **Photo by Lea Anne Stoughton and edited by Ashi Fachler**

This June will be Wicked Women in Words' FIRST ANNIVERSARY, and we would like to share the goodness in your company! We are busy preparing the first official Wicked Women in Words Literary Journal; to be released sometime in June, just in time for the Anniversary Fiesta! (Yes, there will be festivities, stay tuned for those good bits.) This is where you all come in; we need your help! We will be welcoming submissions to be included in our first publication and we want your wickedly good writings! Poetry Prose Essays Short Stories Stuff your Mom would never talk about... The ooey gooey stuff that makes your skin crawl... The stuff that bubbles up from under the epidermis...the creative genius. We have always said that we look for the non-mainstream, the nitty-gritty that gets tossed under the proverbial rugs, and we know the Quad Cities (and surround) is full of just the right feisty writers to offer up the goods. So, what do you say? OK, you don't have to answer right now, but soon. We will be posting up something more "official" for all of you rule-needers and rule-followers soon. :-) Until then, keep writing!! The juxtaposition of a soul stuck somewhere between Heaven and Hell. (Again, just roll with it.) Christmas Leftovers (We've all got them.)
