Jamie is the free-spirited mother of a rambunctious three year old. She is employed full time as a sales professional and in her spare time keeps late hours, drinks too much wine, reads, writes, builds furniture and happily causes trouble wherever she goes.
With her humor and insight into emotions and relationships she uses her life experiences to tell her stories. She hopes through her writing to heal old wounds and inspire those around her to speak out loud what they are afraid to say, write about things that stain the paper with tear drops and put a name to emotions in order to let go.
I grew up the youngest out of eight children and struggled to get my voice heard in such a loud and boisterous family, so I turned to writing when I was just a kid. I have been writing (somewhat silently) and stockpiling my ramblings for over thirty years. I have been published several times since high school, including various newspapers and literary magazines.
Some of my other hobbies are painting and drawing, creating art as often as possible, investigating the paranormal side of life, and finding humor where it probably shouldn’t be found!

I have an auto immune disease called Ankylosing Spondolitis. Before you ask, yes it's painful. I also have Bi-Polar Disorder. I am a blast at parties, as long as there's a comfy chair.
I learned a long time ago that everyone has something wrong with them, mine is just more obvious. Because I'm saddled with these gifts that keep on giving, I see nothing better than to laugh at it all. I also learned that so many people couldn't grasp the good, bad, and outright absurd of my life; so I wrote. I never expected it to see the light of day, but here we are. When life hands you lemons, screw the lemonade, make a lemon meringue pie. We've only got this one shot, let’s make it fabulous!
I began writing when I was just a kid and never stopped (more than 30 years now). It's in my blood; it's not something I want to do, it's something I have to do.
Professionally, I am a writer/editor and have been published in multiple books, magazines, and literary journals. I graduated from Augustana College with a Bachelor's of Arts in English Literature and from National University with a Master's of Arts in Writing.
